2020: The Year of Purpose

2020: The Year of Purpose

“For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11 NET

I’m declaring that 2020 is indeed The Year of Purpose.

This scripture in Jeremiah describes the life that God has planned for us. We should be prospering. Headed towards a hopeful future. If we’re anywhere in harm’s way, broke down, and feeling low down, then something somewhere must be wrong.

Living in your God-ordained purpose is so important. It helps to navigate through relationships, career, choices, and even how we spend our time and money. When you realize the amount of power you carry and who you were ordained to be on this Earth, you start acting different. You realize that your time can’t be wasted on petty things. You recognize that spending time crying, moaning, and complaining about someone who doesn’t value you or your time is actually a waste of time. You recognize that working a 9-5 job that you hate is a waste or your time, talents, and purpose. Staying safe at a job for a pension and health care isn’t fulfilling or catering to the woman you’ve been created to be.

We’ve only been given a certain amount of time on this Earth. This means that the allotted time we’ve been given to fulfill our purpose is short. None of us know when God will call us home. That makes every second of our time precious. Everything we do must be rooted in purpose. From the time we set our alarm, to the moment our heads hit the pillow, we have to support every action with purpose.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t waste any more time not living in my purpose. There are people out in the world who need what God put on the inside of me….

… and there are people who need what God put inside of you too.

Your purpose is unique to you. God knew the people who you would cross paths with. He knew the words you’d say and the perfect way they needed to be said, by you and only you. Sure, there are a ton of people in the world who could “do what you do”.

But they’ll never do it JUST like you. It’ll never be said JUST how God needs YOU to say it.

If no one told you today, your life matters. It’s time to start living and thriving in your purpose.
